Cancellation conditions

Cancellation Policy – Guesthouse Cottage8

At Guesthouse Cottage8, we understand that plans can sometimes change. To provide clarity to our guests and to minimize last-minute cancellations, we have implemented the following cancellation policy.

Cancellation by the guest

In the event of cancellation of a confirmed reservation, the following cancellation fees, calculated on the agreed rental amount, apply:

More than 60 days before arrival 30%

60 to 31 days before arrival 50%

30 to 21 days before arrival 75%

21 days or less before arrival 100%

No-show 100%

Payment terms

* Upon reservation, 50% of the total reservation amount is paid as a deposit.

* The remaining amount of 50% must be paid no later than 21 days before arrival.

* For reservations made within 21 days of arrival, the full amount must be paid immediately.

Additional provisions

1. Cancellations should be communicated in writing or by email.

2. The cancellation date determines which cancellation percentage applies.

3. Already paid amounts will be offset against the cancellation fees owed.

4. Any amounts paid in excess will be refunded within 14 days of confirmation of the cancellation.

5. In case of early departure or non-appearance, there is in principle no right to a refund for unused nights.

6. If the accommodation is re-let, this will be taken into account when determining a reasonable cancellation fee.

7. Cancellation fees will only be charged to the extent that they are reasonable and legally permitted.

Cancellation by Guesthouse Cottage8

If Guesthouse Cottage8 is unable to provide the reserved stay due to unforeseen circumstances, we will inform the guest as soon as possible.

Already paid amounts for the non-delivered stay will be refunded. Any other statutory rights of the guest remain unaffected.

Cancellation insurance

We advise our guests to take out appropriate cancellation insurance themselves. This can cover any cancellation fees, depending on the insurance conditions.

Right of withdrawal

In principle, there is no statutory right of withdrawal of 14 days for reservations of holiday accommodation for a specific period of stay.
