General booking and stay conditions

Guesthouse Cottage8 – Banholt, South Limburg

Article 1 - General

These terms and conditions apply to all reservations and stays at Guesthouse Cottage8 in Banholt.

2. Guesthouse Cottage8 is privately run.

3. By making a reservation and agreeing to these terms, the guest acknowledges that they have read and understood them.

4. Deviations from these terms and conditions are only valid if they have been agreed upon in writing.

Article 2 - Reservations

Reservations can be made through our website, the reservation system or directly with Guesthouse Cottage8.

2. A reservation is final once it has been confirmed in writing by Guesthouse Cottage8.

3. The main booker must be at least 18 years old.

4. The holiday home is suitable for a maximum of 6 people.

5. The minimum stay is 3 nights.

6. It is not allowed to accommodate additional persons without prior permission.

Article 3 - Prices and additional costs

1. The applicable rental price is stated during the reservation process.

2. Compulsory cleaning costs are stated separately.

3. The tourist tax is calculated according to the applicable rate of the municipality of Eijsden-Margraten, unless otherwise stated.

4. There is a surcharge of €25 per dog per stay.

5. The total cost will be clearly displayed before finalizing the reservation.

Article 4 - Payment terms

1. Upon reservation, 50% of the total reservation amount must be paid in advance.

2. The remaining 50% must be paid no later than 21 days before arrival.

3. For reservations made within 21 days prior to arrival, the full reservation amount must be paid immediately.

4. Payments are processed through the offered payment methods or by bank transfer.

5. If a payment is not received on time, the guest will receive a payment reminder with a reasonable additional payment period.

6. If payment is not received subsequently, Guesthouse Cottage8 may cancel the reservation, subject to the applicable legal rules.

Article 5 – Cancellation by the guest

Cancellations should be communicated in writing or by email.

The following conditions apply for cancellation:

In case of cancellation of a confirmed reservation by the guest, the following cancellation fees apply:

1. In case of cancellation more than 60 days before the arrival date: 30% of the agreed rental amount.

2. In case of cancellation from 60 to 31 days before arrival: 50% of the agreed rental amount.

3. In case of cancellation from 30 to 21 days before arrival: 75% of the agreed rental amount.

4. In case of cancellation within 21 days prior to arrival: 100% of the agreed rental amount.

5. In case of non-appearance or early departure, there is in principle no refund of the rental amount.

Cancellations must be communicated in writing or by email. The date on which Guesthouse Cottage8 receives the cancellation is considered the cancellation date.

Already paid amounts will be offset against the cancellation costs owed. Any remaining amount will be refunded within 14 days.

We advise guests to take out cancellation insurance.

Article 6 - Cancellation by Guesthouse Cottage8

1. If the holiday home is unavailable due to force majeure or unforeseen circumstances, the guest will be informed as soon as possible.

2. Already paid amounts for the unprovided stay will be refunded.

3. Any further claims will be assessed according to the applicable legal rules.

Article 7 - Arrival and departure

Check-in is possible from 3:00 PM.

2. Check-out must take place no later than 10:00 a.m.

3. Deviating times are only possible after consultation.

4. When leaving, the holiday home must be left clean and tidy.

Article 8 - Use of the accommodation

The holiday home may only be used for recreational purposes.

2. Parties, events, and loud gatherings are not permitted.

3. The guest should handle the accommodation and inventory carefully.

4. Smoking and vaping are not allowed inside.

5. The night rest applies from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.

6. The individual house rules of Guesthouse Cottage8 are an integral part of these terms and conditions, provided they are made available before booking.

Article 9 - Pets

Dogs are allowed at an additional cost of €25 per dog per stay.

2. Dogs are not allowed on beds, sofas, or other upholstered furniture.

3. Dogs must not be left unattended in the holiday home.

4. Dog poop should be picked up immediately.

5. Damage or exceptional pollution caused by pets may be charged.

Article 10 - Cleaning and waste

1. The final cleaning is mandatory and will be charged separately.

2. Guests are required to leave the holiday home in a clean and tidy condition.

3. Waste must be separated according to the present waste separation instructions.

4. Waste should be deposited in the containers provided for that purpose.

5. In cases of exceptional pollution or demonstrable additional waste processing costs, reasonable supplementary costs may be charged.

Article 11 - Parking

Parking on your own property is only permitted in the designated parking space between the main house and Cottage8.

2. There is possibly an additional parking space available at the rear. Prior contact should be made for this.

3. For other vehicles, you can use the public parking spaces on Dalestraat, to the left of Cottage8.

4. Accesses and passages must always remain clear.

Article 12 - Damage and liability

The main booker is responsible for the correct use of the accommodation by the travel party.

2. Damage or defects must be reported immediately.

3. Damage demonstrably caused by the guest or their travel companions may be charged for to the extent that the guest is legally liable for it.

4. Normal wear and tear and signs of use are not taken into account.

5. Guesthouse Cottage8 is not liable for loss, theft or damage to personal belongings, unless liability under the law cannot be excluded.

6. The statutory liability of Guesthouse Cottage8 remains unaffected.

Article 13 - Nuisance and offenses

Guests should take into account the neighbors and the quiet surroundings.

2. In case of a violation of the house rules, the guest will be addressed about it.

3. In cases of serious or repeated violations, the stay may be terminated prematurely, insofar as permitted by law.

4. Any damage and financial consequences will be handled in accordance with the legal rules.

Article 14 - Privacy

Guesthouse Cottage8 processes personal data exclusively for reservations, payments, communication and other legitimate purposes.

Article 15 - Applicable law and complaints

1. Dutch law applies to these terms and conditions, subject to any mandatory consumer protection laws that may apply.

2. Complaints during your stay should be reported as soon as possible so that we have the opportunity to provide an appropriate solution.

3. Disputes shall be submitted to the court competent under the law.
